Watershed have released five studio albums and a greatest hits album. The band has sold in excess of 350 000 albums, received two SAMA awards, four People Magazine awards, and have performed on the biggest stages in South Africa and Europe off the back of their smash hits “Indigo Girl” and “Letters”.
Since their breakthrough single, “Indigo Girl”, Watershed have built their way up to be one of the most respected and decorated bands to come out of South Africa. Their distinctive melodic guitar sounds blend with the sultry tones of lead singer and songwriter Craig Hinds’ voice, create a soothing and classic rock sound that is easily recognisable and yet utterly unique.
South African rock icons, their albums and singles have consistently been rewarded with gold and platinum status, both locally and abroad. The band pride themselves on being a touring band and always have a full gig schedule with loyal and vociferous support wherever they play out. Their powerful and energetic live show continues to excite their large fan base as well as attract new audiences wherever they perform.
Opposite the Other
Opposite The Other are Samuel Burger, Robbie Spooner and Daniel Burger. They formed in 2016 and have already experienced notable success both locally and internationally on radio, the live stage, streaming platforms and respected media.
Their debut single, “Ride Away”, charted at No. 8 on the Spotify Global Viral Charts and has reached over one million streams on Spotify. The track ranked No. 7 in the United States, No. 4 in New Zealand and within the Top 15 within other countries including Australia, France and the UK.
The band has collaborated with fellow South African musician Jimmy Nevis on the song “Control-Alt-Delete”. The track received expansive national radio play, as well as charting highly on KFM, 5FM, Goodhope FM and 94.7.
Their debut festival slot was playing on the main stage at Rocking The Daisies in 2016. Since then, the band have played across South Africa at festivals and headline shows.
